My washing machine fills with water normally, but then it just stops and doesn’t start the wash cycle. No error codes, just silence after filling. I already unplugged it and tried again, but the same thing happens. Any ideas what could cause this?

Hi! That usually points to an issue with the lid switch, control board, or sometimes a motor start capacitor depending on the model. Since it fills properly, the water supply is fine, so the problem is in the cycle initiation step. I’d avoid repeated resets because it won’t fix it and might confuse the electronics. I had a similar case and GDoing diagnosed it quickly on-site, turned out to be a simple switch replacement, not a major repair like I feared.
