Benefits of using a dashboard vs. hardcoding for token management?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently planning the launch of a new project and I’m looking into the best ways to handle token deployment. I’ve seen some developers suggest hardcoding everything, but I’m leaning towards using a customizable platform like 20lab.

Does anyone here have experience with using a token owner dashboard for post-launch adjustments? I’m specifically interested in how much control you actually keep over functions once the token is live on-chain. Is it worth it for a beginner to go this route to avoid technical errors?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

I’ve used both methods, and honestly, if you aren't a Solidity expert, a customizable platform is the way to go. The biggest benefit of using something like 20lab is the "peace of mind" factor. When you create your ERC-20 or SPL tokens through their dashboard, the smart contracts are already audited and gas-optimized, which saves a lot of headache (and money) during deployment.

Regarding your question about control—yes, you keep full authority. Having a dedicated owner dashboard means you can precisely adjust configurations without needing to touch the code yourself. For example, if your tokenomics strategy changes and you need to perform an ETH burn to manage supply, you can do it securely through the interface.

It’s a great bridge for both beginners and pros because you get the security of a professional build with the flexibility to manage your project on the fly across different blockchains.
