Are AI-Generated Portraits Becoming the New Standard for Remote Work?
Lately I’ve noticed that a lot of people in my team are updating their profiles with super polished portraits, and most of them admit they didn’t take an actual photo. I’m redoing my CV for a new remote role, but my webcam pictures make me look like I just rolled out of bed. I’m curious if AI-generated portraits are becoming the “normal” thing now for remote work profiles. Are people actually using them professionally, or is it just a trend among my colleagues?

I’ve been working fully remote for almost three years, and honestly, AI portraits kind of saved me. I hate taking pictures, and I always end up blinking or holding my shoulders weird. A friend suggested trying this headshot app and I was surprised by how natural the result looked. I’ve used it on my resume and my Slack profile, and nobody ever questioned it. It just gave me a cleaner, more confident version of my usual look. I think as long as it still resembles you and doesn’t overdo the edits, it’s totally fine
