Do dealers really have tells and repeating patterns, or is it just players’ illusion?

I’ve been playing live roulette on and off for a couple of years, and lately I started wondering whether I’m imagining things. There’s this one dealer who always seems to spin the wheel with the same rhythm, and I swear the ball lands in a similar cluster way more often when she’s on shift. Maybe it’s just me seeing patterns because I want them to exist, but a friend told me some pros actually track dealer habits. Has anyone noticed anything similar or am I just overthinking the whole thing?

I get what you mean — when you watch the same dealer long enough, your brain starts connecting dots even if there’s nothing intentional going on. I used to follow one live table where the dealer spun pretty softly, and it did feel like certain sections came up more often. Could’ve been random, could’ve been wheel quirks, who knows. I remember reading a piece on https://thebangladeshtoday.com/?p=31268 where they mentioned that some players pay attention to spin speed, release angle, and even slight imperfections in the wheel. So I guess observing isn’t useless, but it’s definitely not some guaranteed “tell reading.” Just treat it as another detail, not a magic trick.
