Anyone else get instantly turned off by complicated betting app sign-up?

Does anyone else just ditch an app if the sign-up process is a total nightmare? I was trying to sign up for this new fantasy football thing the other day, and it was asking for like, my blood type and my mother's maiden name. Okay, maybe not blood type. But it felt like it! I just closed the tab and went back to scrolling through memes. There are so many apps out there; I'm not going to jump through hoops just to give someone my information. Am I alone in this, or is a smooth signup a deal-breaker for everyone else?

You're definitely not alone! I'm the same way. If a sign-up is complicated, I'm immediately suspicious. Actually, I was reading an article the other day that touched on this exact point when it comes to betting apps. It's over at https://technotram.com/blog/why-a-good-sign-up-flow-makes-a-betting/. It basically says that a clunky registration makes the whole app seem untrustworthy. And let's be honest, when money is involved, trust is super important. The article even mentions that people have very little patience these days, especially on their phones. So, if an app wastes your time with a long and confusing sign-up process, most people will just move on to something better.
