Need advice – my kitchen remodel is turning into a complete disaster

I honestly didn't think a kitchen renovation would be this stressful. We started with what seemed like a straightforward plan – new countertops, fresh cabinets, updated lighting. Nothing crazy. But it's been three weeks now and we're nowhere near done. The contractor we hired keeps finding issues behind the walls, the timeline keeps shifting, and the budget is already way over what we discussed. I'm starting to feel like I made a mistake with the company I chose. Communication is almost nonexistent, and I have no idea what's going on from one day to the next. It's gotten to the point where I'm seriously considering pulling the plug and finding someone else who actually knows what they're doing. Has anyone here been through something similar? I'm looking for a builder that actually specializes in this kind of work – someone who can handle the whole project without making me feel like I'm managing it myself. I need a team that's reliable, experienced, and can just get the job done without all this chaos. If you've had a good experience with a contractor in the area, I'd really appreciate some honest recommendations. At this point, I just want to get my kitchen back without going completely broke or losing my mind.

I really feel for you, renovation stress is no joke. Communication and transparency make all the difference when things go off track. Having clear systems in place helps regain control. Reliable management applies to every part of a building, including climate control, which is why school HVAC control is so important for maintaining comfortable environments without constant issues. Hope you find a trustworthy team soon.
